A New Year
Mood:  chillin'
Well, we are now officially into 2006 and so far so good! Im currently trying to wrestle money out of the army that they owe me for leaving a piece of myself on the battlefield. I think there are more bullets involved in the paperwork than were actually used in the war.

Calm before the storm.
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: Jazz mix tape
Happy New Year! Its back to work today after the cyclone of events surrounding Christmas and New Years. I spent Christmas with my fiance's family in Wiesbaden, Germany and it was a good time for everyone! Presents were exchanged by everyone and enough fantastic food to feed an army. We had snow a few days before Christmas but on the actual day it was rainy. We went to my favorite pub for the New Years celebration and it was so fun I moped around with a hangover all day on the first of January. I hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to top it off.

A night out on the town.
Now Playing: Paul Van Dyk "The Politics of Dancing"
Last night I attended the debut of Porgy and Bess by The Gershwins at the Alten Oper Frankfurt. The Old Opera House was originally built in 1880 but then destroyed during an air raid in 1944 leaving only the exterior of the building standing. The citizens of Frankfurt raised money to have it rebuilt from 1964 to completion in 1981. The show put on by the Gershwins was a fantastic story about love, loss and human nature. Sung in typical opera style vibrato, the lines to the story came alive to express the raw emotion the characters were experiencing. All around the evening was a wonderful experience! Im not one to give a proper review but I have a positive opinion on the show for the record. I would enjoy seeing more productions in this enormous Alten Oper.

Slippery when frozen.
Mood:  accident prone
Michelin Pilot Sport tires do not afford any traction on ice. I can personally attest to their dry and wet traction but ice is another story. It is currently -3.5?C in Wackernheim, Germany.

"You don't understand!"
Now Playing: Ferry Corsten
An era of a near exclusive women's club has ended. Sex and the City series finale was yesterday evening in Germany. My Tuesday pass has just been revoked. I have the bad fortune to not be able to maintain a regular schedule to keep up with a television series without missing too many episodes. My television series come in DVD format and include a pause feature to allow for breaks to the refridgerator for beer and taquitos. There is no need for yelling at interrupters for preventing you from hearing important dialogue thanks to the wondrous rewind feature. Now I must form a new and plausible fishing story every Tuesday to have a day of relaxation with my X-Box.

I will start things out.
Now Playing: HIM
My prior website had become uncouth after two years of neglect. In response to my inability to decide on a topic of discussion for a replacement, I have created this web log. Hopefully it fills the void left behind by the former with more style and swagger.
